Rainwater Harvesting Rebate Program

Overview

The Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District (LPGCD) seeks to promote sustainable water use through a Rainwater Harvesting Program. This initiative is designed to encourage both residential and large property owners to incorporate rainwater collection systems, helping conserve groundwater resources while fostering community-wide water stewardship. At this time we do NOT provide retroactive rebates for previously installed systems. We encourage property owners to install new systems or additions to current systems.

Rebate Program Structure

The rebate program is based on the storage capacity of the rainwater harvesting system. LPGCD will give $1 per gallon of storage capacity, with a cap of $5,000.

Must reside in Bastrop or Lee County within the LPGCD's boundaries.

Educational Requirements
