Rainwater Harvesting 101 on April 20 at Lee County AgriLife Extension Office

The Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District (LPGCD), in collaboration with the Innovative Water Solutions and the Lee County AgriLife Extension Service, invites you to a Rainwater Harvesting 101 Workshop on Monday, April 20, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
This workshop will teach participants how to design and maintain a rainwater collection system suited to their home or property. Topics include choosing the right storage tank, setting up gutters and filtration, and using captured rainwater effectively for gardens, lawns, or livestock. By collecting rainwater, residents can reduce groundwater use, lower utility costs, and help conserve local aquifers.
Attending this class also qualifies participants for LPGCD’s Rainwater Harvesting Rebate Program, which offers a rebate of $1 per gallon of storage capacity, up to a maximum of $5,000 per system. This program helps residents offset the cost of installing rainwater collection systems while promoting long-term water sustainability in Bastrop and Lee Counties. To learn more about the rebate program go to our website: Rainwater Harvesting Rebate Program.
We will also be giving out a door prize of a 150 gallon rain barrel courtesy of Innovative Water Solutions.
The event is free but space is limited. Register by April 17 by calling (512) 360-5088.
